About
Lauren is a lifelong artist with a passion for capturing the essence of life’s fleeting moments.
After obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Art History, Lauren quickly realized the realm of art was not meant to be her profession at that time. (There are not as many curatorial jobs as TV led us to believe!) She destroyed most of her work and did not paint for the next decade.
It was not until years later, Lauren found herself sketching and painting her two small children and never stopped. Working mainly in oil, acrylic, and scratchboard, she strives to portray the energy and freedom of her subjects and reconnect her viewers to a beautiful moment they once experienced.
Lauren currently lives and works in Philadelphia with her family. She draws influence from the unique perspectives of Nan Goldin, Greer Lankton, Amy Sherald, Shirin Neshat, Faith Ringgold, Francesca Woodman, and many others.
